Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Reno celebrates the gift of young people to the Church in Nevada. Ministry to teens and young people, in the Diocese of Reno, flows from a comprehensive vision of Youth Ministry as articulated through the USCCB document Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry. The three goals that characterize our zealous outreach to teens have at their focus an effort to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. We are intentional regarding every activity, every encounter, every time set aside in prayer with our teens that these opportunities are meant to draw our young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community. We strive to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person (Renewing the Vision, 9,11,15).
