Description:	The growth of the population of Reno, particularly in the urban areas, has brought an increased number of Catholics to the parishes. In order to accommodate this growth the Diocese has made a commitment to assist the parishes in enlarging their facilities. Donation Type:	Catholic Services Appeal (CSA)
Description:	The Annual Catholic Services Appeal helps in part to fund the yearly operating expenses of many of the diocese’s ministry offices. The CSA funds are used directly to support a number of the ministry offices of the Diocese, which in turn support the coordination of some ongoing parish ministries. Included in CSA funding are Continuing Education for Priests; Priests’ Assistance, Office of Catholic Schools, Campus Ministry, Respect Life Commission, Needy Parish Subsidy, Future Parish Sites, Hospital Apostolate, Priests Pension, Prison Ministry, Liturgy Commission, Ethnic Ministry Office, Catechetical Ministry, Youth Ministry, Adult Faith Formation, Annual Diocesan Conference, Vocations Office, Nevada Catholic Conference and Catholic Community Services.

Donation Type:	Diocese of Reno Scholarship (D.O.R.S.) Fund
Description:	All donations made in 2013 will be matched by an anonymous donor, up to a total of $ 100,000.00. Donations to this fund will enable students who might otherwise be unable to attend a Catholic school to access Catholic education. Catholic schools were established to provide an education grounded in our Catholic principles and values, not to be the exclusive privilege of a few. Your assistance will ensure that Catholic schools are available and accessible to families wishing to provide this faith-based education for their children.

Donation Type:	English Lay Ministry Formation
Description:	As more and more lay people become involved in leadership positions in our parishes, it is important that they receive appropriate formation for their position whether it is as a paid staff member or a volunteer. The Lay Ministry Formation process is a four year program which provides faith formation covering the four dimensions: human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral. Some of our parishes, especially the smaller or rural ones, want to send their leadership staff for formation, but they cannot afford to pay the fee if several people are attending the ten full day (12 hours) formation classes. Many in the eastern part of the diocese can afford to pay either the fees or the travel and lodging expenses for those participants that they send, but not both. Also some lay people would like to receive formation, but are not sponsored by a parish and have limited funds. Any donations to the Lay Ministry Formation fund would be used for scholarships for those individuals or parish leaders who need assistance with the annual fees.

Donation Type:	Technology, Curriculum and Professional Development
Description:	Catholic Schools are established to provide an excellent academic education that is grounded in our Catholic faith. Your support of this fund will assist schools in maintaining the high quality of education while keeping tuition affordable. Funds will be used for the integration of technology into the curriculum, to ensure a high quality curriculum with teachers who have the current skills and knowledge to provide a highly effective education.

Donation Type:	Youth Ministry
Description:	A donation to the Office of Youth Ministry would go toward expenses relating to the Annual Youth Rally, ongoing formation for parish Youth Ministers, providing and developing leadership and retreat opportunities for teens and assist in a vibrant outreach to teens both through technology and in person. Your donation is gratefully received.
